Tight fades are a great way to keep your hair under control. Especially if you have lots of swirls, alfalfa’s or even calics! There are many options with this style, it just depends on what makes you comfortable. We can also taper the side as tight as possible or even shave them for an ultra tight fade. You don’t have to have hair trouble to get this cut, this style works on virtually any face shape.

To achieve this hairstyle you start off with short sides, the length on the sides of his hair is equivalent to a #4. The top is cut with a razor and left longer with extra texture. You finish off this hairstyle with a cream, I would reccomend Paul Mitchell Shaping Cream. Work product in and style messy. This is a great hairstyle for any hair type.

Men’s Color Trend:
Color trend in men’s hair may seem to be an “it” thing. In all reality if you do happen to follow an “it” factor in hair color for men you may come out looking more like a bad version of a teeny bopper who just discovered Clairol for the first time. Rules for men’s hair color is more seasonal than a trendy “it” color.

This hot haircut, is so outgoing. Nice and faded on the side and tapered up for style on top. The top is texturized at the tips and left slightly long to give it an edge. Channing Tatum (Duke in the Movie GI JOE) knows what style is!!!! The best thing about this cut you can go anywhere and look good. It has a wet look ,so to get this just rub some pomade by Crew all over it and style to the side. You are ready to go enjoy the rest of summer feeling awesome.

Before getting a haircut there are several things that you must know. First is knowing your face shape and finding a haircut that is suitable for your face. The overall rule is that you are trying to achieve an oval shape which is the most perfect and most pleasing to the eye. There are many different face shapes and here are a few that are most common on men.
Oval: Any hairstyles would work on this face shape.
Square: Keep the sides leaner and short, while wearing the top longer and styled a bit higher and keep the hair clean around the ears.
Oblong: A style that is longer on the sides and short on top will make the face appear less long and provide better balance.
Diamond: The goal is to minimize wider cheekbones and balance out a narrow chin and forehead. To do this, opt for a style with bangs to minimize the forehead. Longer shag hairstyles also work well for the diamond face.
Triangular: To balance out a triangular face shape, choose a style that will narrow your forehead area and add the illusion of width to the chin.
Round face: The key here is to provide balance. Stay away from full or round hairstyles as they will make the face appear more round. Keep the sides leaner and style the hair a bit higher at the top and front to provide balance.
And of course we didn’t forget combination which can be a little bit tricky and if you don’t know just ask your stylist, but the same rules applies the overall look we are trying to achieve is an oval shape. Now that you can kind of determine your face shape you can now try to find a hairstyle that is flattering to your face or just ask your stylist.
Men’s Hairstyle Tip from May 8/12
This is a fun cool haircut. It sports summer style. Achieving this look is easy for a guy on the go. This is a razored layered cut with extra texture on the top. Off the ears makes it look clean and shaped up. Get some wax and run through hair all over and you are set to go out!

Hot new hair trends for summer to fall hairstyles of 2010 seem to be heading back to our past and the 80’s have returned. Here is Ewan McGregor who we know as Obi-Wan-Kenobi is rocking a short to medium length hairstyle with lots of texture. This hairstyle that Ewan is rocking is described as a fo-hawk/ contemporary mullet. Not everyone can sport this look because of the texture of your hair, so remember next time you bring in a picture we can replicate the haircut as much as possible, but it will not be exactly like Ewan’s haircut. So for those of you who have coarse hair don’t be afraid to try something new, but this haircut does need to be maintained to have this looks so I would recommend getting your haircut every 4-5 weeks to keep this fo-hawk/contemporary mullet.
Those who have finer hair I would not recommend this haircut because it would make your hair look thinner, but if you insist of wanting this hair cut with fine hair than I would recommend doing this haircut shorter such as an inch and a quarter lengths on top just to make your hair look fuller.
Hair products that I would recommend for this haircut would be a strong hold with medium to high shine. Here are some American Crew product that I would recommend using for this hairstyle would be Fiber which is a high hold and low shine, Molding Clay which is a high hold and medium shine and last would be the Grooming Cream which is a high hold and high shine. Anyone of these products would be great because it will separate the hair and hold your hair all day long.
Three styles stand out when it comes to the hairstyles of Summer 2010. A very groomed, polished, and blow dried look. This has the tight groomed sides and side combed top of the classic silver screen stars. Unlike styles of the past that may have had a more matte look this has a shine finish keeping to the pomade for product. So break out your combs and get classy.
Next is the Brit cool look, still short on the back and sides but kept longer with more texture on top for a more blown out version of a classic Elvis style. Using a light hold product like a shaping cream before you blow dry will help for extra volume. No fear for those that don’t fancy a blow dryer, just apply product to towel dried hair and create a whole other look by wearing style forward and down and you get that true beatnik 60’s look.
Finally we look to the 80’s influence that is ever so prevalent in the rock n’ roll chic look. We are talking lots of texture towards the face along with some really edgy shaved sides, and layers. Color is a popular spin on this trend to spice up the texture. This look can be worn loose to give that layed back look with just applying a leave in conditioner or you can go big and bring on the wax to get that true rocker edge. This look is versatile for so many men. Basically trend this summer moves towards an over the top twist on classic looks. You may see Beatnik 60’s with a blown out pompadour, or a surfer wave with a shaved side. The summer trend is truly ramping up men’s adventurous side.
